What is it?
This decree-law raises the compulsory retirement age for air traffic controllers.
What will change?
So far, it was only possible to work as an air traffic controller until the age of 57. From now on, it will be possible to do so until the age of 58.
This will now also be the age at which air traffic controllers who contribute to social security will have access to early pensions.
What are its benefits?
With this decree-law it is intended that the maximum age to exercise the profession of air traffic controller suits:
- better working conditions provided by the constant technological evolution
- European and international practices.
When does it come into effect?
This decree-law comes into effect the first business day after being published.
