For the purposes of counting length of service for access to the retirement pension, the periods with contributions to the retirement funds of the former Central Board of Fishermen's Houses are important, provided that in the calendar year to which they relate there was a pay statement.
Seafarers whose applications for early old age or physical exhaustion pensions have been refused due to non-compliance with the length of service required now have a period of 180 days to apply to the Social Security Institute for a reassessment of these applications.
Each day of unloading at a fish auction is considered to correspond to three days of fishing activity for the purposes of the pay statement, the guarantee period and the length of service for accessing the anticipated old age pension and the physical exhaustion pension.What advantages does it bring?
