The LM succeeds the Military Laboratory of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Products (LMPQF).

This restructuring takes place under the responsibility of the Army Chief of Staff (CEME) and covers:

    • All operations and decisions necessary for the implementation of the changes in the legal nature;

    • The redeployment (transfer) of all other LMPQF resources to the LM.
What advantages does it bring?

This decree-law creates a public structure in the area of medicine, promoting research and scientific knowledge. It values the rich experience of the former Military Laboratory of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Products, increasing the resources allocated to it and creating the material and institutional conditions for it to expand its activity. This activity will be relevant for the Armed Forces, but also for other areas of the State, since the new Laboratory will play a role in the areas of health and medicines.
