The use of units of measurement deemed to be non-legal is permitted in respect of anything relating to products and equipment placed on the market or put into service before the entry into force of this decree-law;Supervision
Compliance with these rules is monitored by the Food and Economic Security Authority (ASAE).
Whoever uses unauthorised units of measurement is punished with a fine of up to 3,740.00 EUR in the case of natural persons, or up to 44,890.00 EUR in the case of legal persons.What advantages does it bring?
This decree-law contributes to the uniform implementation of the IS and facilitates its use by different economic operators and by Portuguese society in general.When does it enter into force?
