What is it?

This decree-law adapts the supervisory model of several corporate public entities.

What is going to change?

The statutes of the following public corporate bodies (E.P.E.) are revised:

    • Navegação Aérea de Portugal (NAV - Portugal) [Portuguese Aerial Navigation];
    • Agência para o Investimento e Comércio Externo de Portugal (AICEP) [Portuguese Agency for the External Investment and Trade];
    • Shared Services of the Ministry of Health (SPMS);
    • School Park.

The supervision and control of the legality of financial and asset management in the four E.P. E. are to be carried out through a supervisory board and a statutory auditor or a firm of statutory auditors which does not belong to those bodies, these being chosen from auditors registered with the Securities Market Commission.

What advantages does it bring?

This decree-law seeks, in a logic of economy and efficiency of legislative production, to correct the supervisory model that does not coincide with the one mentioned above.

When does it enter into force?

This decree-law enters into force on 26 October 2020.
