What is it?

This decree-law establishes the terms for the regularisation of the real estate assets of the Portuguese Institute for Quality (IPQ), as well as the respective procedures for this purpose.

What is going to change?

The real estate assets that belong to the private domain of the State and are assigned to the performance of the IPQ's attributions and competences are identified in this decree-law, becoming part of the IPQ's own assets.

The acts necessary for the registration and registry of real estate referred to in this decree-law will be required from the competent services, by communication from the president of the IPQ's board of directors.

The transmissions of assets, rights and obligations and registrations that result from the integration in the IPQ's own assets will be subject to fees and emoluments (fixed charges for certain procedures).

What advantages does it bring?

This decree-law aims to regularise the situation of IPQ's real estate by integrating the land and buildings on it into its property.

When does it enter into force?

This decree-law enters into force on 18 September 2020.
