Summary in plain english
This decree-law establishes the legal scheme of the following special sectorial inspection careers:
- Special veterinary inspection career of the General-Directorate of Food and Veterinary (DGAV);
- Special fishing inspection career of the General-Directorate of Natural Resources, Security and Maritime Services (DGRM);
- Special ships and maritime safety inspection career of DGRM.
The careers covered by the decree-law are valued and the correspondent employees who exercise inspection functions benefit from a specific salary table.
On the other hand, specific entry and training requirements, when compared to the general scheme of work in public functions, are established.
Namely, the obligation to attend and approve, with a minimum grade of 14 out of twenty, a specific training course to be carried out during the trial period.
The employees integrated in the inspection careers to be terminated (careers of senior inspector and technical inspector of DGRM) are transferred to the special fishing inspection career. The deputy-inspector career of DGRM still remains.What advantages does it bring?
