This decree-law establishes how the disclosure of the list of perpetual monthly subsidies’ beneficiaries may be carried out.

The perpetual monthly subsidy is an amount assigned by the State to the former holders of political positions for the public services provided to the country.

What is going to change?

The General Pension Fund (CGA) may now disclose and maintain up-to-date, on its website, the list of perpetual monthly subsidies’ beneficiaries.

The beneficiaries are previously aware of the information to be published (the date of the subsidy’s assignment and its amount, for instance).

The information is removed from the list after the end of the subsidy’s assignment.

What advantages does it bring?

This decree-law, by allowing the disclosure of the beneficiaries list, ensures the provision of public interest information and ensures the State’s transparency and responsibility on the processing of personal data.

When does it enter into force?

This decree-law enters into force on the first day of the month following its publication.
